Dance x Academics (Part 2) ~ Outstanding Achievements in PSLE 2023

As a dance service provider for more than a decade, our duty is to keep students dancing as long as their passion for dance burns bright. Thus, it is disheartening at times to witness first-hand dance students who give up their dance journey when PSLE swings around the corner. And this is not a phenomenon limited to our school, as our peers in the dance fraternity also observes the same occurrence. In recent years, we have even observed students dropping out of dance just because they are going into Primary One. Thus, can dance and academic results really co-exist? In this blog post, we have shown our readers with student who are living testaments that with proper time management, one can continue to pursue their passion in dance and still excel in their academic results.

To many parents, dance and academic tuition are mutually exclusive. Through the years, we have encountered first-hand how dance is jettisoned in favour of extra tuition classes when a student's academic performance needs improvements. However, with the Ministry of Education (MOE) pushing for a broad-based multifaceted learning, Direct School Admissions (DSA-SEC) into a student's preferred Secondary School has become a viable option in the perfect marriage of pursing dance while striving for academic progress at the same time.
