Ms Sandra Leong
Greetings from our Ballet Instructor Ms Leong, who is the teacher-in-charge of our Ballet classes at SAFRA Yishun.
Ms Leong began her dance journey at the tender age of 4 and is trained in the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), Australia Teaching of Dance (ATOD) and Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD) dance syllabus. In her teens, Ms Leong also competed actively both locally and overseas in the CSTD Dance Competitions from 2011 to 2014.
Following that, Ms Leong embarked on her tertiary dance education at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) and graduated with a Diploma in Dance majoring in Dance Composition. Upon her graduation, Ms Leong has been teaching dance full-time since 2016, specialising in Ballet, Contemporary and Jazz. From 2017 onwards, Ms Leong was put in charge of Soloists, Duos and led the Competition Troupe Team, with notable top 3 achievements from Competitions such as the CSTD and HongKong Challenge Cup Dance Competitions.
A passionate teacher who has loved dance since young, Ms Leong is a highly versatile instructor at making dance fun, while challenging students to try new styles and break out of their comfort zones. As a dedicated mother to 3 young children at home, she adores children and engages positively with young students.
